World-renowned researchers, world-class facilities, and the close cooperation with Israel’s leading pharmaceutical companies and hospitals give the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Technology Transfer University, an edge in the development of innovative drug delivery solutions.

Novel drug delivery solutions come about as the result of research into many different Technology Transfer Services areas and fields, including liposomes, polymers, controlled release and encapsulation technologies, and microparticulate and nanoparticulate targeting systems. At the Hebrew University, research into groundbreaking drug delivery systems is underway by some of the world’s acknowledged experts in a number of different fields.

In the School of Pharmacy

• Professor Abraham Domb is an expert in degradable polymers, nanoparticles, and biomaterials

• Professor Elka Touitou leads research in the enhanced delivery of peptides and other drugs through biological membranes

• Professor Simon Benita is a specialist in microparticulate and nanoparticulate targetable drug delivery systems.

At the Casali Institute of Applied Chemistry

• Professor Shlomo Magdassi is an expert in formulation chemistry, nanotechnology, surfactants, dispersion systems, microparticles, and microcapsules.

In the Department of Organic Chemistry

• Professor Chaim Gilon specializes in medicinal chemistry and synthetic chemistry

And at the Institute of Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition of the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Quality Sciences

• Professor Amos Nussinovitch specializes in the theoretical and practical aspects of hydrocolloids, including: coating of cells, hydrocolloid glues, hydrocolloid cellular solids and water-soluble polymer uses.

Drug Delivery Successes

The Hebrew University has achieved several significant successes in this truly cutting-edge field.

• Doxil (Doxorubicin HCI liposome injection), Alza’s lead product for oncology, was developed by Professor Yechezkel Barenholz of the Faculty of Medicine. It resulted in $375 million in sales in 2006.

• Professor Barenholz also co-founded NasVax Ltd. to develop intranasal delivery systems based on platform technology developed together with Professor Eli Kedar of the Hadassah Medical School. The company’s intranasal delivery system for the influenza vaccine sped from bench to clinical trials in less than 18 months. Within one year of operations, NasVax completed two private investment rounds and had a successful IPO on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). The company is traded under the symbol NSVX.

• Novagali Ltd. was founded to develop solutions for ophthalmology. Based on technology developed by Professor Simon Benita, Novagali’s pipeline includes major products at various stages of development for dry eye, allergy, glaucoma, retinopathies, and more. To date, Novagali has succeeded in raising

In order to understand plagiarism, it is worthwhile to understand and respect the process of sharing and creating new ideas in the university setting. First, it should be understood that all knowledge is built from previous knowledge. Very little that we do within the world of academics or business would be possible if it were not for those who went before us. As we read, study, experiment, and gather perspectives, we are merely “standing on the shoulders of giants”. This is not to say that all that can be learned has been, it just simply means you realize the process of knowledge is less about the individual and more about fields of study. However, by building on other people’s ideas, we hopefully create our own original thought.

So what happens when you put your ideas down on paper? When you do this your instructors will be able to distinguish between the building block ideas borrowed from other people and your own newly reasoned perspectives or conclusions. When you write a research paper or essay you make these distinctions by citing the sources for your building block ideas. On a side note, giving clear credit for your ideas matters in the professional community as well as the academic community.

So why are professors so strict about citing sources? Think of it this way: in the vast majority of assignments you’ll be assigned while attending university, your instructors will ask you to read something. OK, easy enough. These assigned books, journals, essays, and papers are the building blocks for your new thought. Upon reading you assigned work, generally the next step is for you to write a paper in which you analyze one or more aspects of what you just read. Thus your opportunity to explore the new structure you build. If that is too abstract, let’s keep it simple. When instructors are asking you to site your work they really want to know the following things:

• First and foremost they want to know that you actually read the assigned work.

• Second, they want to see that you have a clear understanding of the material you’ve been asked to read. By the time you reach university the instructor’s job is to challenge you as a student, not simply supply you with facts.

• Third, professors want to see you refer to your sources to support the ideas you have developed. Professors will generally only assign books or essays by authors that they respect. Thus citing specific pieces of an authors work gives the professor a chance to see whether or not you were able to pick out the key concepts.

• Fourth, and probably the most important, professors want to see that you can distinguish your analysis from the author’s analyses. Anyone can recite, but analysis takes more work.

Lastly, remember that when you cite a source you are using an expert’s ideas as proof or evidence of your new idea. It is important to communicate this clearly to the reader. Do not think of sources as a way of filling your paper with random facts, professors want to know what you think.

Can a heavy metal rock group release a CD without having ever being in the same room together or to have never met face to face? Amazingly, it is being done; and quite remarkably. Project-43 is one of the first “Internet” groups to record, mix, produce and engineer a CD from three different countries and five locations around the world.

Meet Project-43, five exceptionally talented musicians from different parts of the globe. After band mates Charlie Wardick (who hails from the state of Arizona, USA) and Steve M. Mann (from Wisconsin, USA) hooked up on Usenet in the alt.guitar newsgroup, they knew that they had happened upon something special.

Using this framework, the two enlisted other musicians to join in their cyberspace journey. When Antti Heikkinen (Finland) was added on vocals, things began to gel. The group then added Scotland’s Scott Wallace to play drums and the NYC guitar virtuoso Christopher Bell-Boudreaux to complete the quintet.

Their debut CD “Silence The Quiet” was released and met with rave reviews. But it is their follow up CD called “Ticket To Infinity” that proves that this is not a novelty act and that creating intoxicating heavy metal music in this unique process can not only be done, but accomplished with awe inspiring adventure.

Logistics make it difficult to all get together, but that is not an obstacle. As Steve explains:

“We have really progressed on this new CD; it shows our growth and improvement as a group. One person may come up with an idea for a song, then the others download this ‘model’ and start to add their parts and the mixing process begins. We don’t have some of the personality issues or conflicts that other bands have; our process is very accommodating to growth and helps us move forward. We feel we are on the cutting edge of recording and marketing and like to feel that we are moving forward in the right direction; kind of a modern spin as well as a new model of music creativity.”

After a listen to their new CD, one can hear elements of some of the band member’s influences, such as the Scorpions, Judas Priest, Queensryche or even a heavy set from Foreigner. But what Project-43 does so eloquently is meld these aforementioned groups, classic rock qualities, and heavy guitars and move them progressively into the new millennium.

The cut, “Bye Bye” has a classic blend of eerie lyrical content blended perfectly with instrumental mastery, fast guitar licks and the powerhouse pipes of lead singer Antti Heikkinen. “Secrets Never To Be Told” would be right at home on any classic rock album by Uriah Heep, complete with rich vocals, heavy rock guitars and a rapid-fire lead that adds a unique harmony to the lead vocals.

The cut “In Exile” could remind some if Alice In Chains unplugged, with smart lyrics and crisp acoustics, with tasty contributions from all five musicians. “Silence The Quiet” is full of classic Scorpions-like riffology, with complex instrumental structures and superlative vocals and I could see it bolting to the top of the heavy metal charts.

Their whole CD is full of energized music, heavy guitars and bass lines and expert musicianship. Comparing Project-43 to other bands may be a compliment, but it is their unique methods of making emotionally charged rock and roll that makes them genre defining and captures the essence of their collective musicianship.

Could Project-43 be called musical experimentalists? If so, the group has definitely laid the groundwork for others to attempt to make music in this intuitive manner. But I doubt that any group can match the hard-edged, slashing guitar riffs and seminal melodic invention that Project-43 has already mastered. Cyber group, novelty act? Not a chance- their songs are a musical collective of hard, heavy rock that will soon take the music world to a whole different level.

Mom is a very special person. She got us through those awkward times growing up, taught us about life, and even made sure we got better when we were sick. That is why Mother’s day is such a special day. It is a day that is designated for us to tell mom that she did a good job and that we appreciate her for everything she did for us while we were growing up and for the things that she does now. Even though a bouquet of flowers is just a small representation of how we feel about her, it lets her know that we remember everything she has done throughout the years.

But it does seem that Mother’s Day sneaks up on us quickly. We become so wrapped up in the things that are happening in our lives and then look at the calendar to see that Mother’s Day is just a day or two away. Sometimes the realization doesn’t happen until the day has arrived.

Buy flowers quick

When that special day is coming near, there are several ways in which Mother’s Day flowers can be taken care of quickly without making them look like they have been thrown together. There are actually services that can do flower delivery on the next day. These services can be found online and they can also be found in the phone book. All you have to do is describe what you want and they will put it together for you after billing a credit card. These are services that normally specialize in last minute Mother’s Day flowers. These types of things are expected by these businesses when the big day comes, so don’t think you’re the only one that is running late getting flowers and don’t think you are a bad child.

But what happens if it is Mother’s Day and you are just now realizing that fact? The good news is that you can also utilize services that do same day delivery. Simply choose what you want, pay for it, and mom will have it sometime that day. If you don’t know exactly what you want or you don’t know much about flowers in general, moms love flowers such as lilies, roses, daisies, and even orchids. The orchid is a unique flower that almost anyone can appreciate.

If you’re having difficulty deciding, think about flowers that your mom has had in the past and how well she enjoyed them. Does she like adorning her house with floral prints? Get her something that will match the floral prints and the themes in her home. Mom’s love it when things match and you can do that with flowers if you are not sure what to get her.

However, if you are really pressed for time, there are retailers that have Mother’s Day flowers already put together for you. You can run inside, pick out what you know your mom will love, and then present her with the beautiful gift. There is always a way to get those last minute Mother’s Day flowers even if you have to put them together all on your own. Unless you have experience putting together flower arrangements, it may not look like it came from a professional shop. However, your mom loves you and will look at them the same way she did when you brought home the Mother’s Day card that was stuck together by semi-wet glue when you were five-years-old. No matter what you do, she will know that you’re giving them to her out of the love that only a child can give. That makes them special no matter what.

Online florist and flower shop offering a large selection of arrangements for any special occasion. Shopping last minute for Mother’s Day flowers? Same day delivery specialists in the Toronto area. Shop with confidence knowing that we’ve been in business since 1877 providing Toronto flowers.

It is a challenge of every parent to get their kids to actually want to spend time at home. Most kids are on the go and they want to be anywhere but at home with their parents. The key to making them want to stay home is to make home fun.

Make your home a place where your kids are going to feel like they can relax. Make it a place where their friends will want to be.

Things to do

There are many things you can do to make your home a kid friendly place. You can start by giving the kids their own area. This could be inside or outside. You want to make the area a parent free zone. Do not rush to them constantly and bug them. They go away from home so they can get away from your nagging. That is the honest truth, so keep that in mind and let them have some freedom.

You want a space that will cater to what they like to do. It could be video games or a pool that you use as the center focus of the space. The important part is to find something they enjoy and work form there.

Things not to do

Of course, there are also some things you will not want to do. You will not want to give them so much freedom that they overrun you or destroy your home. You will have to establish some ground rules. Be flexible, but firm. Do not let the kids get away whatever they want. You still have to provide supervision and make sure activities are age appropriate. The challenge is doing so without coming across as controlling or invasive.

Tips

You can make your kids want to stay home. It really is not as hard as it may seem. You just have to find that perfect balance between fun and out of control. You have to stay in charge without seeming bossy. It can be tricky, but you can do it. The key is finding something they enjoy. You have to make your home a place where they want to be, not just where they have to be.

Your kids want freedom, but they also want to be around you. That is important. They still want their parent’s attention, so do not make yourself a stranger when they are home. You can still interact without being overly parent-like. Have fun with them. Enjoy the activities they enjoy and be fun. They will be more likely to invite you into their space and want to actually stay home.

You need to consider everything said here. This can be an amazing way to become more involved in your kids life. You will be able to bond with them in a way you would not otherwise have. You will find that when you make your home a welcoming space to your kids that you will grow and find a better relationship with them.

basketball hoops. Another great way to get your kids to stay at home is to put up a basketball hoop in your driveway or backyard. Shop hundreds of outdoor basketball hoops and in ground basketball hoops at this cool online store.

There’s an old saying out there that says; if you don’t plan for success, you’re planning for failure. This holds true especially when it comes to studying. A successful student needs to have adapted a good strategy for his/her studies. Some subjects demand more preparation than others but in the end of the day, you need to have a good plan ready on how to tackle all your study material. How do you put these goals done on paper? I suggest you find away that suits you without necessarily embracing one type of strategy all together. The goals that you write down will function as turning points in your academic career, thus making it easier to see where you’re heading.

It’s important that you write down the goals as clear as possible, this will help you form a stark and vivid picture on how to reach that goal. It’s all really a process, you initiate by asking yourself why you’re doing what you’re doing (your motives are great encouraging factors) and then what type of result that you’re expecting. Try to be as realistic as possible without being all too negative or outright naive. To summarize, you need to know the why, the how and the when of your studies.

One of the biggest reasons most people refrain from planning is because of procrastination, we tend to forget that “I will do it tomorrow” turns into weeks and then into months without having done anything valuable. Your time is valuable, do as much as possible, as early as possible! End your procrastination today! I guess you’ve had some time to sit down and think about your studies by know, so what do you do?

Grab a pen and paper

All you need to do is to write down the actual steps that you calculate (which may not occur as you’ve had in mind) needs to be done, all on paper. When you’ve done this, be sure to separate long termed goals from short termed ones. Having difficulties in getting started? It’s O.K, we all suffer from writer’s block once in a while but there are good ways to counter that. I suggest beginning this project by asking yourself questions, important and relevant questions on your studies. The list below shows a few suggestions on some questions you may consider using, they are only suggestions so you shouldn’t probably limit yourself to them. Make sure your plan is suited for your personal needs and situation.

- Is my knowledge sufficient to indulge in this?

- Exactly what type of information do I need?

- Is there anywhere where I could obtain such information?

- What types of skills do I need to master, is it easy/difficult?

- What type of resources can I find and use?

- Is my way the only or could I do I have better options?

If you’ve finished doing all the things I mentioned before, I think we’re ready to actually make the talk into walk and execute our plan. Finally, my last advice to you on this issue is to remind you not to go over your head. It’s easy to become over enthusiastic about something and then lose the flame altogether, walk in baby steps while keeping your eyes on your goals.

The piano is an important musical instrument for jazz bands since the origin of jazz music and it can be played in the style of a solo performance or as part of a band. Like the guitar, the piano is one of the few musical instruments in a jazz band which can play chords as well as notes instead just single notes only instruments such as the saxophone, trombone, trumpet or even the vibraphone (1 or 2 notes together).

Gone were the days when a jazz pianist’s role is just to keep tempo with repetitive chord combinations. Nowadays, the pianist is free to choose any technique or style to accompany a band or a singer using both short and sustained chordal and melodic fragments called comping.

An accomplshed jazz pianist must not only be good at sight-reading as well as good at improvising chord symbols but also must be able to adapt to the different playing styles of various bands he jams with. Jazz pianists must balance this interpretation and improvisation to the musical style the bands are playing.

The jazz pianist is indeed a happy musician because of the extended range of the piano. The piano offers the pianist with a much greater number of choices and techniques for improvisation, much more so than any other instruments in a jazz band.

In a jazz musical style known as “striding”, the left hand of the pianist alternates positions very quickly playing notes in the bass register and chords in the tenor register. The right hand will usually play the melody, but might also play harmonic content, chordally or even in octaves.

Jazz pianists play the solo with 3 basic objectives to fulfill simultaneously. The techniques are as follows :-

a) To provide a clear and swinging rhythm. This style is usually done by striking a beat with the right hand just after a weaker beat with the left hand. The objective of this technique is to mimic the combination of a cymbal ride as well as the walking bass. This technique can also be executed deftly with the left hand alone, by imitating the weaker beat preparatory swing note that is played by a bassist just before he strikes some of the notes of the bass phrasing.

b) Play the melody or solo improvisation with the right hand.

c) Establish the guide tones for chord changes.

One method commonly used by jazz pianists for tackling this triple situation simultaneously is to hold the hands together in a fork-like shape with the index and the third finger joining the thumbs to form a central group, whilst the fourth and fifth fingers are spread outwards.

This is done so that the pianist can use the left branch fingers to play bass notes, the middle fingers to moderate the guide tones and the right branch fingers to play the upper lines of the melody.

It is indeed challenging for the pianist to meet all these demands at the simultaneously. However these skills are inherent in most competent jazz pianists.

What is commonly called the ‘circle of fifths’ is also an important element in playing jazz piano because it provides harmonic diversity through a well guided harmonic phrase. Playing the circle of fifths technique is very much related to chord “planing” techniques which shift a chord, often voiced in fourths, up the scale, while implying a repeated harmonic pattern of tonic-dominant-tonic-dominant.

If you intend to be a good at playing jazz piano, then mastering these styles and techniques is a required skill.

When the time comes for me to receive a present of any kind, I know I like nothing more than good, hearty gift boxes. These are a great way to pack a lot into a small space, but you will also find a box is a lot easier to ship than a basket. In fact, many of the items you receive in the mail will generally come in some sort of box.

Gift boxes are a great idea for any occasion. Whether you have fiesta salsa bowls, salsa, or cactus napkin holders, you will find that there is something extremely pleasing about receiving as well as sending great gifts that have the personal touch you can appreciate.

More and more of these gifts are turning to cuisine of one sort or another. In fact, you will find a great coffee box is going to be as popular as a superb box filled with the best in Mexican cuisine. But there is more to a cuisine than the edible food.

Mexican blankets, tequila shot glasses, and even handcrafted Christmas decorations will make a great keepsake that, if of high quality, will last a lifetime of memories and special occasions. These are even more important than edibles that may simply be gone in a few moments, or worse, the edible portion of your gift boxes are not even liked!

When it comes to secret pleasures, I have to admit a soft spot for Mexican Christmas decorations. These are so cute and they last forever. The bright, holiday colors, and the chili designs make them beautiful and playful at the same time. Not only are these perfect for any box, but they are great if you add one to the tag.

Something I think adorable and silly is the hot sauce holster. If you happen to be a Chili Head, you understand the importance of this versatile and reliable tool though. Have your hot sauce on hand with just a flip of your wrist!

If you are considering something extra special, try adding a tortilla bowl baker or taco shell maker to the box to allow your favorite person or family the ability to make the best in fresh food for their own family. This is a great gift that says you care.

Of course, if you are like me, you will love a good pair of onion goggles. You heard me right – onion goggles! Slip into these onion goggles and you will not have any more tears when slicing and dicing onions. A great tip I might add for relieving the tearing associated with onions is to leave the center of the onion for last. If you cut from the outsides first, you will find a lot of your tears are no more.

When it comes to choosing the best gift boxes for your family or friends, you will find the Mexican culture offers a great deal of personal touches that will serve you and your gift recipient well. These fun ideas are going to be received well, and you will find that if you give kitchen tools, the next meal you eat at his or her house will be all that much better.

The Paleozoic Era is seen in the fossil record as an explosion of life forms. The Cambrian Period marks the beginning of an era with thousands of new life forms in the ancient seas. Prior to the Cambrian period fossils are extremely rare but after about 540 million years ago the fossil record shows many and varied life forms.

Life In The Seas

It is this characteristic, life in the ancient sea, which distinguishes the Paleozoic Era from all others. You see, the autotroph’s makeup didn’t just add oxygen to the atmosphere. It was an entirely new sort of cell structure: one that had a cell membrane or wall (or both) that enclosed a central nucleus. Today we call this a eukaryotic cell.

These new cells could now join together to do specialized tasks, the kind of specialization needed to make the tissues of plants and animals. Now species could exist that responded to the diversity of their watery environments. Some would live on the bottom sediments, burrowing with tube-shaped bodies or walking with many tiny legs. Others would live in the ocean column, developing fins for effective swimming.

New Phyla

Many phyla were represented in this era. In fact all of the phylum in today’s world were represented during the Cambrium Period. Some of those representatives including: arthropods (Trilobites were everywhere!), mollusks, Lophophorata (Brachiopods), appeared almost immediately in the Cambrian while Orthoceras, a straight-shelled mollusk, came in around the Ordovician Period, echinoderms (The flower-like crinoid thrived in seas throughout the Era.) and, eventually, fish in the Devonian Period. All of them had specialized tissues for performing the functions of their bodies: eating, breathing, moving, and reproducing.

Life Moves Onto Land

Plants and animals first moved onto land in the Silurian Period. But they didn’t really flourish there until the Carboniferous Period when huge forests covered the land. These forests were so dense and covered so much of the earth that oxygen was 35% of the atmosphere compared to present day levels of 21%.

Giant Insects

It is this high oxygen content that is believed to be the cause of the gigantic arthropods that lived in these forests. A dragonfly called Meganeura had a wingspan 70 cm! The centipede like Arthropleura could reach a length of 1.8 meters and giant scorpions grew over 50 cm long. Of course there were an abundance of insects of sizes we would find unremarkable as well.

Tetrapods

The high oxygen content may have made it easier for the amphibians that also left the water during the carboniferous period. These four legged creatures called tetrapods lived at the waters edge. The tetrapods became very successful evolving many different forms some of which grew quite large over 2 meters in length! They became the dominant life forms in the lakes, rivers and swamps of the Carboniferous Period. The first reptiles showed up late in the Carboniferous Period as well but they did not play an important part during this time.

Life on our planet wasn’t exactly like that of today, but the similarities had arrived. Earth’s miracle of life had begun and was taking hold in ancient seas of the Paleozoic.

The Permian Extinction: End of An Era

The Paleozoic Era ended with a mass extinction event called the Permian extinction. This event killed off 95% of all life on earth. Even the event that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago cannot compare to the destruction of life at the Permian Extinction.

Every year, on the second Sunday in May, mothers across the nation sit in bed and await the “traditional” mothers day breakfast in bed. Though they’re excited, and honored, they cringe, knowing what’s coming is burned toast, cold eggs, watery coffee and soggy cereal. Trust me; it takes a mother to appreciate that type of “breakfast.” But it’s not the food that makes this the most special meal of the year. Nope, what makes it special are those little hands that helped prepare it, and the smiling face hovering above the tray.

Mother’s Day became an official holiday in 1914 when—thanks to the urging of Anna Jarvis—President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the second Sunday in May as a day for honoring mothers. From the very beginning, carnations have been a traditional mothers day flower; Miss Jarvis began the tradition of wearing a white carnation, and it later developed to wearing a red carnation if your mother was still living, and a white if she had passed. Flowers for mothers day have become the modern-day version of this and mothers day flowers delivery has become a big business. And why not? As a society, we’ve become more and more widespread, and for most, it’s not like we can stop at the local flower shop, pick up a dozen reds and head over to Mom’s. Instead, we get by with a little help from our friends—the online florist!

The Internet is full of Mother’s Day trivia and humor, touching stories and fun factoids. It’s also full of mother’s day gift guides and suggestions. Over the years, I’ve been blessed enough to be buying gifts for mothers day for a variety of women and I’ve learned a few things to make it a lot easier, and more fun! Delivery isn’t just for flowers anymore, that’s for sure, and I want to make these women feel as special as they truly are.

The first thing I learned was mothers day baskets are my friend! What do you get for the woman who has everything? Or the one who has so many kids, siblings, etc. that more flowers would simply get lost in the shuffle? You turn to the handy-dandy gift basket—nothing says, “You’re special and I love you” quite like a mothers day gift basket overflowing with goodies. The best thing about baskets is there are so many choices! It’s not just all about cheese and fruit anymore. Your mothers day basket could be filled with cookies and candies, spa products, gardening tools, or just about anything you can imagine. It’s all out there; there’s something for everyone; for every taste and every budget. I truly enjoy finding just the right basket for each woman on my list; it’s fun.

My next favorite go-to gift is mothers day plants. They’re the gift that keeps on giving, long after the flowers are gone; and definitely after the meal is but a memory; the plant is still there. My mom’s garden was literally full of plants she received as gifts from us kids. And she knew just who gave her each one. Even when she was on the other side of the country, I knew I could arrange for a mothers day delivery of a special plant. With the Internet, finding the right plant, one that suits the recipient’s taste and climate, is easy and you can find everything from tropicals to succulents online.

There is always the woman who doesn’t have a green thumb, and that would be me. Seriously, I’ve got a long list of girlfriends, sisters and other women all of whom I like to give little gifts to on Mother’s Day. They’re special women in my life, and I like to say “thank you” and “I love you” to each in a personal way. Not everyone is into flowers, and not everyone likes plants. But there is one thing that every single one of the women on my mothers day gifts delivery list does enjoy—chocolate.

For the ones who would kill a plant just by touching it (like me); the ones who have wonderful husbands and children who give them flowers and other nice gifts, I turn to gifts of mothers day chocolate. Even that can be put into basket and delivered! And there’s the big bonus—combo gifts. Mixing it up with flowers, plants, chocolate and other goodies gives me all sorts of gift-giving options when it comes time to pick out a mother’s day gift for all the special ladies in my life.

Yeah, maybe I’m over the top. But I don’t think so. You see, I’m one who would be wearing a white carnation—I can’t call Mom up and say, “I love you” anymore. But there are a lot of women in my life who are still here—sisters, friends, and other special mothers—and I’m not going to miss an opportunity to show them how much I love and appreciate them. Nope. Not me. Now, pardon me, but I have to go brace myself for the breakfast that is to come.
